About the class:
In the last decades we’ve seen the pendulum swing between “kink is a mental health problem” to “a spanking session is a healing session”, and from calling a dedicated kinkster a pervert (in a bad way), into regarding them as something between an intellectual, a savante and a therapist. Many times, the one seems to coexist with the other, creating a twisted landscape of inner and outer confusion, guilt and misunderstanding.
But how can we make an informed distinction between a pathology which uses the vestige of kink, an abusive situation and a situation which is possibly traumatizing when the lines blur, and when truth is complex? In this class we will explore this topic in theory, as well as through learning to listen to the cues of our body.
Our goal? To create the needed space for safety, healing and pleasure within our informed capacity.
