The Dojo is where we study the traditions, philosophies, and evolving art of shibari and kinbaku with patience, discipline, and deep respect for their Japanese origins. Inspired by the aesthetics, etiquette, and spirit of the classical dojo, our approach invites students to cultivate presence, technical precision, embodied communication, and intentional practice.

We honour the historical threads that connect contemporary rope practice to hojōjutsu, the martial art of restraint, while recognizing that modern shibari has grown into its own living discipline. Within the Venusian Society, rope is approached not as spectacle, but as a lifelong practice of craftsmanship, trust, consent, and study.

Here, every knot is an invitation to slow down. Every tie is a conversation. Every practice is part of a lineage carried forward with humility, curiosity, and care.
