Our Commitment to One Another
Venusian Society is an educational collective devoted to the study and exploration of BDSM, kink, erotic embodiment, conscious intimacy, and the relational arts. Every class, gathering, collaboration, digital resource, and community space exists because of a shared commitment to learning, consent, confidentiality, and mutual care.
These Community Commitments apply to everyone who accesses our website, attends our in-person or virtual events, purchases on-demand content, participates in our online spaces, or collaborates with Venusian Society in any capacity. By using our website or participating in our offerings, you agree to uphold these commitments. They exist to protect the wellbeing of our community, our facilitators, our collaborators, and the integrity of our work.
Age Requirement
Venusian Society is intended exclusively for adults.
You must be at least 18 years of age to access our website, purchase digital content, or participate in our offerings. Some events require participants to be 21 years of age or older due to venue policies or the nature of the experience. By using our services, you confirm that you meet the applicable age requirement.
Geographic Restriction
Venusian Society does not engage with states, entities, or individuals operating from territories under unlawful military occupation, as recognized by applicable international law. This includes, but is not limited to, the Occupied Palestinian Territory, the occupied territories of Ukraine, Northern Cyprus, Georgia, Moldova, Syria, and Western Sahara. These restrictions may be updated as international legal determinations evolve.
We reserve the right to refuse or terminate participation where it reasonably determines that an individual or organization falls within these restrictions.
Community Standards
Every member of our community shares responsibility for creating spaces that are respectful, thoughtful, and safe to participate in.
Participants are expected to communicate honestly, respect the autonomy and boundaries of others, and contribute to an environment free from harassment, coercion, intimidation, discrimination, or unwanted advances. Consent is expected in every interaction, whether educational, social, or practical, and may be withdrawn at any time without question or consequence.
We welcome people of all genders, gender identities, sexual orientations, relationship structures, bodies, abilities, cultural backgrounds, and levels of experience. Mutual respect is not optional. It is the foundation upon which every Venusian Society space is built.
Confidentiality
Many of our discussions involve deeply personal experiences. Respecting the privacy of others is essential.
Information shared within our classes, workshops, discussion spaces, online communities, and events must remain confidential unless every individual involved has given explicit permission to share it.
Photography, video recording, audio recording, screenshots, screen recordings, livestreaming, or the redistribution of participant conversations are strictly prohibited unless expressly authorized in writing by Venusian Society. Participants are equally expected to respect the confidentiality of conversations that occur before, during, and after our events.
Intellectual Property
All educational materials, recordings, presentations, written resources, graphics, course content, downloads, and digital materials remain the intellectual property of Venusian Society or their respective creators unless otherwise stated.
Access to on-demand classes, recordings, downloadable resources, and member materials is granted for personal, non-commercial use only. These materials may not be copied, reproduced, redistributed, publicly displayed, shared with others, uploaded to third-party platforms, incorporated into other educational programmes, or used for commercial purposes without prior written permission.
Virtual and On-Demand Participation
Our digital spaces are extensions of our physical ones and are held to the same standards of respect, confidentiality, and care.
Participants are expected to engage respectfully during live online sessions, refrain from disruptive behaviour, and protect the privacy of fellow participants. Recording, downloading, or distributing any portion of a virtual class, discussion, or recording without written permission is prohibited.
Login credentials, course access, membership benefits, and purchased digital content are personal and may not be shared, transferred, or resold.
Events and Educational Experiences
Some offerings are open to the public, while others require an application, interview, or vetting process before participation. Where eligibility requirements apply, registration is confirmed only after those requirements have been successfully completed.
Participants are expected to arrive on time, follow facilitator instructions, respect venue guidelines, use equipment responsibly, and contribute to an environment where everyone’s wellbeing remains a shared responsibility.
Registration, Cancellations, and Attendance
Advance registration is required for all events.
Unless otherwise stated, all ticket purchases are final and non-refundable.
Standard workshops and classes may be transferred or rescheduled if cancellation is requested at least 24 hours before the scheduled start time, subject to availability. Events involving guest facilitators, external venues, retreats, play spaces, or other third-party arrangements may require a minimum of seven days’ notice for any available transfer options.
Late cancellations, missed events, and no-shows are not eligible for refunds, credits, or transfers unless expressly stated. Repeated cancellations or repeated failure to attend registered events may result in restrictions on future bookings.
If Venusian Society cancels an event, participants will be offered an alternative date, account credit, or refund, as appropriate.
Additional information regarding cancellations, refunds, transfers, and applicable consumer rights can be found in our Terms of Service.
Alcohol and Substance Use
Participants must arrive able to engage safely and responsibly.
Attendance while impaired by alcohol or recreational drugs is not permitted. Anyone whose judgement, coordination, or behaviour appears significantly affected may be refused entry or asked to leave without refund.
Participants taking prescribed medication that may affect physical or cognitive participation are encouraged to inform the facilitator privately before the event so that reasonable accommodations can be considered where possible.
Collaborations
Guest facilitators, volunteers, assistants, photographers, vendors, contractors, and partner organisations are expected to uphold these Community Commitments alongside any additional written agreements applicable to their role.
No individual or organisation may represent Venusian Society, use its name, branding, educational materials, or community for promotional purposes without prior written authorization.
Privacy
Personal information collected through registrations, purchases, applications, newsletters, memberships, forms, or direct communication is used solely to administer Venusian Society, fulfil legal obligations, process transactions, and communicate with participants in accordance with applicable privacy legislation.
We do not sell personal information to third parties.
Enforcement
Venusian Society reserves the right to refuse participation, suspend or revoke access to digital content, remove individuals from events or online spaces, terminate memberships, or end collaborations where these Community Commitments are violated.
This includes, but is not limited to, breaches of consent or confidentiality, harassment, discrimination, intimidation, unsafe conduct, intoxication, unauthorized recording or redistribution of materials, infringement of intellectual property, fraudulent activity, repeated disregard for facilitator instructions, or behaviour that compromises the safety, wellbeing, or integrity of the community.
Where appropriate, these decisions are made to protect participants, facilitators, collaborators, and the educational environment. Removal or termination resulting from a breach of these commitments is final and does not entitle the participant to a refund unless otherwise required by applicable law.
Updates
These Community Commitments may be amended from time to time to reflect changes in our educational programmes, operations, legal obligations, or community needs. The most current version will always be published on our website. Continued use of our website or participation in any Venusian Society offering constitutes acceptance of the current version of these Community Commitments.
